My Weeks in Pictures #35

It was dad's birthday, so to help him celebrate J, my uncle and I all played some pool with him at the local pub. There is nothing quite like getting drunk with your parents on a Saturday night. I couldn't help but show off my wrapping skills...men just don't seem to appreciate these things

J and I tried our hand at making spaghetti on the weekend. I have so much fun making pasta.
I finally got around to printing off all my photos and organising them into an album. I also chose some to frame and put on the wall in our living room. Our house is feeling more 'ours' now...which I feel is important to establish (especially when renting)

Loving tea deliveries from the T2 boys to perk me up when working nights. No idea what this blend was, but it was delicious. I've also been loving this T2 flask I purchased with a gift card from the girls at work for my birthday. Now am getting my tea fix on the train to uni!

Tried out a green, bronze, gold smokey eye at uni last week. I actually kinda love these colours together!
J also bought a new shrimpy...we called him 'Murdoch'; he's a cleaner fish, meaning he cleans the tank and he'll sit on the other fish and clean them too! So J thought "mer-doc"...as in underwater doctor...was a good name. Mer-doc. Murdoch. Get it?

OPI 'kennebunk-port' on my nails. Ring on my finger from my BFF and her family for my 21st. I love the intricate detailing on this ring. It's now become a staple in my 'everyday jewellery' collection.
Also I am so obsessed with my mint leather time planner I picked up from work the other week. Nothing makes me more happy than peering into an organised bag!

My Week in Pictures #8

IMG_20120914_172436

This Friday was J's birthday! Thinking it would be a fun idea and a nice surprise, I headed out to Woolworths to buy a pack of 40 balloons. I was planning on putting them all over the apartment for when he got home. Firstly, I seriously underestimated what 40 balloons looks like, and to get the effect I had dreamed up I probably would have needed about 100. Now, if you don't know - I'm asthmatic. And as someone with dodgy lungs, blowing up 40 balloons was probably a bit over-ambitious. So when I realised at first how difficult it was, I sought out another means of blowing them up and came across my bike pump. Note: this does not work and caused the balloons to blow up in my face.
Anyway, it took me about an hour but I blew them all up and tied them by hand (the labours of love!)

So last night we went to see "Super Villain" - a comedy show by Seizure Kaiser, and it was on at the Factory Theatre.
The show was seriously hilarious, and if you're in Sydney and you love comedy, he'll be back for the Sydney Comedy Festival so I highly recommend checking him out.

We finished off the night with cake and takeaway Thai.

And some other snaps from the week -
1) Rommy discovered the fish tank, and enjoys spending his time sitting on the chair watching them.
2) Choice of essay questions for my politics and the media class. It really pains me when university lecturers have poor grammar. Proofread, anyone?
3 and 4) J bought some new fish for his birthday. There's a couple more than these two, but on the left we have a butterfly fish and on the right are two tomato clownfish. They're a breeding pair so soon we'll have baby clownfish!

What did you get up to this week?

It's Been a While...

Just in case you were wondering where I've been lately, this post is to just quickly update you on that.

Long story short, just after exams finished, my laptop has decided to slow down and completely stop. At the moment, I'm typing this from J's lappy, which I like a lot less, which doesn't have all my files on it, and which I find it harder to upload stuff from.

Anyway, I have lots of posts planned (hopefully I will have a new lappy soon - especially since holidays are nearly over).  Beauty reviews, skincare reviews and general updates and posts.

Until then, here's some snaps I've taken of what I've been up to.

In the meantime, keep up with me on twitter and instagram.

1. Boston Legal and Logic Puzzles

2. Lots of PS3 - Dante's Inferno is a pretty good game and I completed it in 2 days.
3. Game of Thrones - now completely up to date with this show. Sad that it's about 9 months until Season 3.
5. New T2. This one has an amazingly delicious liquorice and ginger taste to it. Spicy!
6. Parcels in the mail.
7. Bird-themed accessories
8. Chinese Harry Potter!
9. Refereeing at the Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre.
10. Shin splints therapy
11. Favourite law kids
12. New fish! This one's called a lipstick tang.
