On Friday night, J took me to go see the Great Comedy Debate at the Metro on George Street!
We got dinner at first, at Burgerlicious:
I had the bean nachos - which were delicious but soo filling!
J had this burger. Which tasted better than this picture makes it out to be.
Image of the stage.
Really, I feel pathetic even posting this because of how bad the quality is, but you can kind of make out the "Sydney Comedy Festival" sign, and the white chair that Claire Hooper sat on.
We had no idea who the comedians were when we booked it, and even though we constantly checked for updates, they weren't revealed to us until the night.
It was hosted by Claire Hooper (Good News Week, and a DJ on Mix 106.5).
The topic was that comedians should never censor themselves and nothing should be off limits for the sake of a good joke.
Arguing for was: Daniel Sloss, Jackie Loeb and Craig Hill.
Arguing against was: Tommy Dean, Chris Radburn and Rhys Nicholson.
It was overall a really good night.
It's good to devote time just to laughter. This was good, because even when the comedians were awful, it was till pretty easy to laugh at how horrible they were.
